How to have Eternal Life!
God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life--Abundant and Eternal!
The Bible says...
"...we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1
"...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10
So, why am I not having this .........Abundant Life?
The bible tells us that in his natural state man is separated from God as a result of Adam's sin. Since we are all descendants of Adam, we are ALL separated from God. Without reconciling that separation each one of us is doomed to eternal damnation (separation from God in Hell). Since man has inherited a fallen nature from Adam, he is completely corrupt and unable to reconcile himself with God. This means: All men are headed to Hell!
The Bible says... "There
is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to death." Proverbs
"But your iniquities have separated you from God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." Isaiah 59:2
Our Sin Has Separated us From God!
The GOOD NEWS is that God had made provision for man, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place as a payment for our sin. Since Jesus lived a sinless life he was able to make a sacrificial death for each and every one of us. We will never be good enough to obtain eternal life.
All that is required for you to be assured of eternal life is that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, recognizing that He is the only way to receive eternal life. It is a FREE GIFT from God. As any free gift, all you have to do is accept it. You can NEVER buy it or NEVER work (earn) it.
Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." (John 14:6 - NASB).
Scripture also says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (YOUR NAME HERE) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". (John 3:16 - KJV)
"For ALL have sinned , and come short of the glory of God!" Romans 3:23 KJV
Is there any good
reason why you
cannot receive Jesus Christ right now?
How to receive Christ:
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner)
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (Repent)
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)
What to pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer,
The Bible says...
"For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your
life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8&9
Once we have accepted God's gift of eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ, we are to turn away from our sinful past and live a regenerated life that is honoring to God.
This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible every day to know
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached. If you live in the West Point area, come fellowship with us at Faith Baptist Church!
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
May God bless you as you do.
